We are delighted that you are considering Loyola Preparatory School for your child and are pleased to provide admissions information below.
We recognise that selecting a school for your child will be one of the most important decisions that you will make as a parent, involving much research and discussion. If you have any questions about our admissions process or any other questions about the school, please email our Admissions Manager, Mrs Long, or call 02085047372.
Pupils usually join Loyola Preparatory School at 3+ and 7+. However, occasionally spaces in other year groups become available, so please do contact our Admissions Manager, Mrs Long, to check availability.
Below is a simplified step-by-step guide to applying for a place at Loyola Preparatory School:
Complete our online registration form.
Our Admissions Manager, Mrs Long, will then be in contact to arrange a personal tour with our Headmistress, Mrs Anthony. The tour will last between 30-45 minutes and provides a valuable opportunity to experience Loyola Preparatory School first-hand and ask any questions you may have.
If your child is joining us mid-way through an academic year or from Pre-Prep 1 (Year 1) onwards, they will be required to sit a short assessment and spend time in the classroom.
7+ Application Candidates will be invited to spend a day (or half day) at the school during which an assessment of their current working standards is made. This assessment is so that the school can ensure that applicants will benefit from the education that is offered here. Once assessments are completed and reviewed, a decision regarding an offer is made.
If you decide that you would like your son to join Loyola Prep, you will need to complete the Application Form and make payment of the application fee (£50 non-refundable bank transfer).
If a place is offered, you are asked to pay an acceptance deposit (£1,000*) or decline the offer by the deadline date.
* This entrance fee is made up of a £250 non-refundable payment (which covers set up administration costs) and £750, which will be deducted from your son’s last term’s fees in Rudiments (Year 6). If an accepted school place is not taken up, the whole £1,000 is forfeited and is not refundable.
