    Fees, Scholarships & Bursaries

    Fees

At Loyola Prep school, our fees are reviewed annually by the Board of Governors to ensure excellent value for money covering tuition costs, lunch, books, stationery and some timetabled after-school extracurricular activities for Reception to Rudiments (Y6). If you have any questions, please email our Admissions Manager, Mrs Long, or call 02085047372.

    Application Fee £50
    Acceptance Deposit £1,000
    Termly Fee: Kindergarten - Rudiments (Nursery-Year 6) £4,400*
Educational visits and other excursions £26 per term

*prior to the VAT increase in January 2025.

Extended residential trips (which usually take place in Figures Y5 and Rudiments Y6) incur an additional charge, as do certain extracurricular activities if they are provided by additional specialist staff.

There is a 10% discount for younger brothers in Early Years (Lower Kindergarten, Upper Kindergarten and Reception), which applies while the older brother(s) remains at Loyola. This is applicable to half brothers as well.  There is also a 10% discount for the 3rd sibling, while all three brothers are at Loyola.

The termly fees are due for payment on the first day of term.

An administrative charge will be levied on overdue accounts at a rate to be advised from time to time.

ScholarshipsLoyola pupil with Hume Scholarship cup

The Hume Scholarship is granted annually to students with exceptional academic potential, offering a fee reduction, usually covering 50% of the Whitsun Term fee. The children must have attended Loyola's Lower school and must plan to attend the Upper school. The scholarships are granted based on end-of-year exams in English and maths in Pre Prep 2 (Year 2) and cover the full four years of Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6), subject to ongoing performance.

Hume Scholars often go on to gain scholarships at 11+ to a variety of schools, including Bancroft's, Chigwell, City of London Boys', Forest and St Edmund's College.

    Early Years Funding

Parents of pupils receiving Early Years Funding should note that the number of sessions that provision is available is identical to the published term dates for the school, with each day corresponding to two sessions - morning and afternoon. There is the option for half-day morning only sessions from 8.30am until 12.30pm including lunch, although most pupils attend for the full day.

    Childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare

Childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare payments are accepted towards fees up to and including the term a pupil turns five.  These vouchers/payments are also accepted towards breakfast clubs, homework clubs, after-school club and The Loyola Holiday Club throughout all year groups.

    Bursaries

Loyola will consider bursary applications for boys currently in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 based on availability, income and ability. Parents should use the forms below and return them to the school office.

    Notice of Withdrawal

Parents are required to provide notice of their intention to remove a pupil from Loyola Preparatory School and this must be given in writing to the Headmistress before the first day of the child's final term. Failure to provide a full term's notice will result in a full term's fees being charged and payable in lieu of notice.
