Religious Education

"The spiritual quest is simply that of recognising the God who comes to meet us, and of having a free heart with which to respond to that meeting." Bishop Vincent Nicholas 1993

Loyola boys in MassThe religious character of the school is expressed in its ethos. The importance of understanding and applying moral values is emphasised to all pupils within a Christian context.

The school follows the scheme, “Come and See” and are moving to full school implementation of the Catholic Religious Education Directory by September 2026. This includes a study of comparative religion working towards an appreciation of other faith systems and traditions.

Weekly masses are theme based and are led by each of the different year groups from Reception upwards in rotation.

This gives pupils an opportunity to share work from class, lead prayers and embody the values of the school.
