PSHE
Our PSHE curriculum supports children in becoming confident, healthy, and respectful individuals.
Through lessons on healthy relationships, safety, personal development, and mental wellbeing, we equip our pupils with the skills to lead responsible, balanced lives.
By teaching rights and responsibilities, and offering leadership opportunities, we empower students to make positive contributions locally and globally.
Following the Jigsaw scheme of work that adopts a thematic approach, our curriculum covers Health and Wellbeing, Relationships, and Living in the Wider World, promoting progression and self-assessment.
Enrichment roles, like School Council and Eco Council, along with buddy partnerships, deepen this learning and foster a strong school community.
RSE
From September 2020, Relationships, Health and Sex Education became a statutory element of the National Curriculum. At Loyola, we follow the diocesan, “Journey in Love” programme to supplement our Relationships, Sex and Health Education Curriculum.
