Elements had a fantastic visit to the Tower of London today, exploring its rich history and legends. What began as a foggy morning became a glorious, exciting and unforgettable day for everyone.

This morning, our School Council delivered over 15 bags of essential items to @eppingforestfb , generously donated by our pupils and their families for our Harvest Mass. This represents half of the total donations, with the remaining half being given to Noah's Ark Community Hub, a community-focused charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of Buckhurst Hill residents through social action, care, and support.

Our Figures boys had a brilliant day at @newhallschool for the New Hall Quidditch Cup! The event was packed with Harry Potter-themed fun and during the trophy ceremony, several pupils were recognized for their Quidditch skills. Congratulations to Vikram for winning 'Best Beater,' Rishi for 'Best Chaser,' and Jayden for 'Best Keeper'. Thank you New Hall for the 'magical' day.

Today, KS2 enjoyed an assembly from Kelly Stroud, an Education and engagement outreach officer from UK Parliament Assembly. The boys gained valuable insights into the workings of the Houses of Parliament, including the roles of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. They also enjoyed learning interesting facts about the history of Parliament and how laws are made. A highlight of the session was the opportunity to simulate the process of passing a bill, providing a hands-on experience of democratic decision-making. A great educational experience for all, fostering an early understanding of our political system. Future leaders in the making!

Prep boys have been studying folktales and were tasked with writing their own versions of *The King of the Fishes.* After completing their stories, they spent time reading them to Reception boys. Inspired by the tales, they came up with their own creative titles based on *The King of* theme

We've had the Scholastic UK Travelling Book Fair visit us this week, and the boys have thoroughly enjoyed it. As a school, we continuously encourage our boys to read as much as possible because the benefits of daily reading on brain development, attention, cognitive abilities, speech and language growth, and literacy skills are truly remarkable. Plus, reading is a wonderfully relaxing hobby that positively impacts mental well-being and self-esteem
